Married in Madison — Carmen & Dan
Carmen and Dan are happiest when they're together. They're even more delighted to be together while surrounded by family and friends. They both have a deep love for their family legacies, which showed in their wedding celebration. The priests from Dan's childhood parish helped officiate the wedding. And Carmen and her family picked wild grass seed from their family prairie land in Wisconsin to pack in little glass vials as wedding favors. They grow fast, I checked. Also, Carmen's brother (a pastry chef) made a beautiful, fragrant, and delicious lavender cheese cake for them.
This event was the perfect blend of ceremony and celebration. They entered the reception hall in a not-so-usual fashion by performing a lip-sync battle between the men and women of the wedding party. It's my favorite wedding reception kick-off, hands down.
I was so privileged to be able to capture the love and joy Carmen and Dan have in one another and their community. Keep scrolling to see some of my favorites from this truly memorable occasion.
