Florida Wedding Throwback – Brian & Stephanie

I used to change this guy's diapers. I taught him to climb trees and the fine art of mixing Mentos and Diet Coke. This is my baby brother, Brian. Not a baby at all. In fact, he's turned into quit a stellar young man. And I have to say, he met his match in Stephanie. I knew it was a done deal when he told me he was intimidated by her when they first started interacting in college courses. Brian is not intimidated by anyone. So, of course, he married her.

I was really excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding. Stephanie's family made traveling for a wedding not only smooth, but OH SO FUN! I had no idea Dutch Presbyterians were such a lively bunch. The wedding day was nestled into a two-week-long party. And the day itself was spectacular. From getting ready, to the magical first look, to the heartwarming ceremony, to the unbelievably fun reception, this celebration never let down. There were even skits about how Brian and Stephanie got together and a relay/scavenger hunt game after dinner. What's more, Brian and Stephanie (and many friends & family) put a lot of this stuff together themselves.

It's been a little over 18 months since this wedding, and it's still one of my favorites to look back on.
